Kip Dottie is zo trots op haar eerste nest eieren, dat ze iedereen erover moet vertellen, maar de andere dieren zijn veel te druk met hun eigen kroost om te luisteren. I liked this book for a couple of reasons. First, I really liked the illustrations. Each page is filled with bright, vibrant colors, which are very appealing to the eye. The pictures include several different farm animals and their babies, which a lot of younger children would like. I also enjoyed how the book was written. There was one phrase that Dora said after each farm animal she visited comparing her un-hatched eggs to the other baby animals, which I thought made the book flow very well. This phrase was, “My eggs are nice, but…” Dora thinks that all the other farm animals’ babies are better than her eggs. She wishes she could play and do things with her eggs just like the other animals do with their babies. This is until her eggs hatch. Then Dora realizes that her babies are just as nice as all of the other farm animals’ babies. This book teaches children that they should be patient. When you are patient, good things will be sure to come your way. I enjoyed this book the illustrations really fit the setting of the farmyard. This book would be great for a kindergarten class that is learning about animals because it has all the names of the baby animals. I will have this in my reading corner for sure and would use it with a kindergarten/preschool class for a read aloud. picture book, chicken, animals, eggs, nest, henhouse, ducklings, piglets, calf, puppies, lambs, miserable This is about a chicken named Dora that wants to show her eggs to all her friends, but they are too busy playing with their babies and this Dora to think those babies are nicer than her eggs. When she returns to her eggs, they crack and she thinks they have broken, but she gets her chicks and they are much nicer than her eggs. Dora is very proud of the eggs she just hatched. She wants to have all her friends come and admire them. Her friends are too busy with their own super adorable little ones. Dora starts to admire her friends little ones thinking they might be better than her own eggs. When Dora's Eggs finally hatch she, and her friends, realize they are the cutest babies of all. This is a very cute board book. The perfect book to share with a toddler. The colors of the illustrations are vibrant and the pages are full of color. There is a lot more writing in this board book than there are in other board books for toddlers, but the story is worth it. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
As she goes around seeing the babies of the other farmyard animals, Dora becomes less and less proud of her first eggs--until they hatch into cute chicks. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
