I started My Sister's Grave by Robert Dugoni on a whim. I was reading a physical book but didn't have a light source. My Sister's Grave was on Kindle Unlimited and I figured if nothing else it would keep me entertained for the evening whether or not I ever finished it.

I was pleasantly surprised. Robert Dugoni kept me entertained for the entirety of the book. He gave me enough information to draw conclusions but not enough information to draw conclusions but not enough information to draw the right ones.

I read My Sister's Grave in just three days...in the middle of a move...while running a household on my own. Dugoni kept a great pace. Tracy Crosswhite is a great protagonist, and the setting and cast of characters were so enjoyable. I also really enjoyed Dugoni revealed Sarah's fate.

Even if the second book wasn't on Kindle Unlimited I'd buy the next book. (Actually I DID buy the second book in physical format). I'm excited to see where Tracy will go next! ( )

Seattle Detective Tracy Crosswhite, grew up in an idyllic small town called Cedar Point in the northern Cascade Mountains. The town was devastated by the disappearance of her younger sister, Sarah, who disappeared as a teenager driving home on a country road shortcut while Tracy was being asked to marry her boyfriend. Tracy has never believed in the guilt of Edmund House, a paroled rapist, who was convicted and sent to jail, and has spent 20 years looking for the real killer. When Sarah's body is finally found, Tracy redoubles her efforts to find the real killer, and assists in obtaining a hearing for a retrial for House, despite being warned off by all. Tracy's guilt and her relentless efforts dredge up secrets that everyone hoped would stay buried, and put Tracy in grave danger. Author Dugoni also does an excellent job, timeshifting between the seminal events of the past and the present.

Recommended for readers who like Lisa Gardner. ( )

I'd go 3.5 if I could but rounded up because it was better than 3.

Not perfect but very enjoyable and twisty. I had a tough time putting it down! ( )

Tracy and Sarah Crosswhite are extremely close sisters. They compete at shooting championships. After the 1993 state championship, Tracy begs Sarah to drive safely home, but Sarah never makes it.
A recently released rapist is convicted of the murder but a body is not found and Tracy is suspicious of the evidence.
Fast forward 20 years, and Sarah’s body has just been found. Tracy, now a Seattle homicide detective, continues to question the evidence that convicted Edmund House and convinces her childhood friend, Dan, an attorney, to review the case. Tracy is suspicious that the sheriff and others planted evidence.
This is a gritty legal / psychological thriller with a surprising conclusion. Tracy is a flawed character with a guilt over her sister’s death that she hasn’t been able to get over. I love her as a heroine and I am very excited to read more about her in future books. This is the first Robert Dugoni book I have read, and it definitely will not be the last. I really like his writing style. The book was easy to read, and the pages flew by.
