So chicken buys a chalk board and they communicate with each other through the chalkboard whenever they can. This book talks about the relationship of Chicken and his new neighbor Owl. It takes a while for the two to finally meet because of their different sleeping schedules. This problem leads to Chicken leaving Owl a note saying he will like to meet. The story goes on to show how it takes them a while to interact due to their differences in living but end up meeting and understanding each other. This book talks about the different types of friendships one may have, and how even if people aren't like you, does not mean you cannot be friends. Chicken and Owl both learned how to compromise with each other, and set up a way for them to hangout that does not interfere with the others daily schedule.
