After Merlin places himself into a crystal ball and is then found by Jason Carpenter in modern times, Jason finds himself travelling to Ethiopia to find the biblical Ark of the Covenant.

I found the book is very well written, the introduction runs through the story so far, so if you have not read the first book, you can still get right into the story.
The book is well paced, and does not feel hurried or boring, and the ending leaves you wanting to read the third book in the story. ( )

This is the second book in the Merlin Chronicles series and I have to wait till spring of 2015 to read the 3rd. The story continues in this book with a lot more focus on Jason Carpenter, the archeology student who met "the" Merlin of once thought to be mythology in book one. Merlin, Jason and Beverly go on yet another action filled adventure on their continuing quest to stop Morgana Le Fey from succeeding in her designs to destroy mankind and be the ruler of what is left after the Dragons of old are given passage back to Earth. I won't go into any further details that might spoil the story but once again a very well written story mixing historical fact and real places with fantasy and other mythological artifacts to create a story that captivates. Another story I found it hard to put down. Needed to know what happened next. Once again I will be waiting for the 3rd book and reading that as soon as it is out. ( )

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an amazing book! The twists and turns keep you turning the pages and make it hard to put down. Looking forward to the next book in the series. ( )
