A couple you want to see together! See Jane Fall was the first book I read by Katy Regnery. I was rooting for Jane and Lars to get together as soon as they met. Their story was moving, funny and heart-rending, everything a good love story should be. Add in a perfectly hissable villain and you have a great read. The language was a bit frank and I found it a jarring note at times, but that could have been the author's intent. A very minor quibble indeed. Overall a moving love story. Low self-esteem gopher cousin of super-model meets Mr. Right on his home turf and therein ensues a "he loves me, he loves me not," adventure. Doubt with a capital "D" on both sides erupts, both feel the other is too good to be true, and each suspects that a gesture or a careless word is an indication of cheating. Family values are strong, something alien to our heroine, who, through personal disaster, has trouble defining love or letting herself genuinely feel it. Strong adult role models are pitted against insecure, wicked ones. The bloom of the romance creates such heat that I had to postpone my hot flash for the post-read glow. The need to read the other volumes in this series is great, as is the need to see what Ms. Regnery has in store for us next. Brava, Madame author!
