Delightfully short bedtime book for kids who have parents that are Star Wars nerds. ( )

Now here's a bed-time story that I can get behind! We see the return of young Luke and Leia, accompanies by Darth Vader, the most disgruntled father in the galaxy. As in all things, Luke and Leia are being rambunctious and refuse to go to bed without a proper bed-time story, so Vader tells them about all of the other people in the galaxy who are going to sleep. Some go easily, like the wookies of Kasshykk; some go quickly, like the multi-armed Sith lord; and some chime in with mutual refusal, like te young Boba Fett. I really liked how comprehensive Brown s in exploring the cast of the Star Wars universe, and I am sure that other fans of the Saga will feel likewise. My only complaint is that the prose didn't rhyme - which is a staple feature in most repetitive-plot bed-time stories. ( )

This is just too cute. The cadence is all over the place and the rhymes are quite harsh, but I still loved every second of it. For in my family we do star wars, and star wars before bed is the best.

Rhyming is clearly not Brown's strong suit - all wanted this to be more like the earlier books. ( )
