I really enjoyed this spooky ghost story by one of my favorite writers! Lanyon’s always a safe bet, but this was one of her better books. ( )

This is a difficult book to review for me. I loved it, don't get me wrong, but there are aspects that have me a little dissatisfied to be honest.

It's a real ghost story, and a good one at that. The characters are also well written and are complex men with demons from the past. The relationship that they build doesn't feel like a romance, not until towards the very end when it seems there might be more to it all. But then, suddenly, poof, it's The End.

I know there are more scheduled, but the dates are moving. All I can say is that I hope more gets written, because, while it's not a cliffhanger as such, there really isn't even a HFN to keep me fully satisfied. However, even with that working against it, it still deserves it's four star rating from me.

Please, Josh, write the next one quickly! ( )

I liked it. A lot. Emotionally engaging, deep and fascinating - but ... it is a little samish, a little like quite a few other books by the Author, a little Adrian English. ( )
