This book contains 18 small poems about farts. Unfortunately, my 9yo and I did not really care for this book. The poems don't flow, so parts were hard for her to read. So she asked me to give it a try. Now I read stories as well as chapter books to different grade levels at her school, so am used to it, but I could not get them to flow right, either. There is a link to download a free audio version to play along, so we figured we'd give it a try. Not going to happen, I'm not going to sign up to a mailing list to listen to it. She gave up after the fourth poem and asked to go play outside. She was frustrated with some of the words, since she did not know what they meant. She just kept saying, "Pause, what is that?" From the title, I took Pong to be his last name. I never would have guessed that pong means stink or gross. So I guess we will have to chalk this up to lost in translation. Makes me wonder, if American wording was used, if I would have found it as funny as some. There were a couple I did get a chuckle out of, but most left me looking for the humor. I do know a few kids, who live to say fart, that would get a kick out of this. And I'm sure my husband would think this would be great discussed over dinner. Have to keep this away from him, he doesn't need any encouragement. Thank you to the author, I did enjoy the pictures. They were simplistic, sketch book style, but they made me smile. ★★Arthur Pong and his Smelly Song by Jose Fernandez I was given this R2R in exchange for an honest review. I don't know. The book was cute and funny. It was a quick read to my kids. The book is about Arthur. Arthur likes to sing, but when he sings, people notice a distinct smell in the room. People are being woke out their sleep, passing out, and crying because of the smell, yet Arthur's family is proud of him, despite his smelly flaw. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

from the Amazon preview, it looked intriguing and at the insistence
of my son I bought it. Sure enough, when we read it, he
couldn't stop laughing!
On the whole it was a fun read and decent attempt for a debut author. Your child will enjoy it. ( )
