It is about the lice's perspective and the child's perspective on getting lice. I️ feel like it would be a good book to read when there is lice in the classroom, I️'ve read it most times when there is lice in the room anyways. This book was really cute, but also yucky at the same time. In this book, the boy gets head lice, and he is upset with the bugs in his hair. He is afraid of what everyone is saying, and he goes through the process of getting rid of lice, but then... THEY'RE BACK! I really liked Shannon's style in this book because he had words big and small on the pages to show emphasis. I also liked that Shannon had little side notes on some pages for readers to refer to. Lice are unfortunately something most kids end up getting and getting rid of them is not easy. I lived in the tropics when I had lice. My moms cure was a perm. Most of the boys in my class got crew cuts. This funny book looks at one kid, his lice problem, what was done, etc. I love how it explains terms, and even where some modern slang comes from. If lice is a thing in your school, then this book is a must have. A very humorous book about a young boy getting lice. I've never personally had to deal with lice, but I heard it's very painful and itchy. This book will help students not feel as embarrassed when dealing with lice. The illustrations really add to the humor of this book. It also serves as an informational book on lice. Bugs in my Hair is all about getting terrible head lice in your younger days. If you to go to school, or have play date’s with friends, chances are you may have had lice at some point in your life. David does a great job by making these bugs have a sense of humor behind their nastiness. This book is filled with big illustrations that tie into the words on the page. I also liked how David included side notes at the corner of some pages. For example when it said, “ *Louse is where the word “lousy” comes from.” I thought that it was neat to have included that at the bottom as a side note to what was actually being said. This book will definitely make you feel itchy after reading! sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
