Really enjoying this series but I do feel that this was one of the weaker books. It did introduce some great new characters and plot lines but I felt it was more of a 'move the plot along' kind of book. Nothing wrong with that it just left the story a bit flat. However it's a brilliant series and I'm already half way through 'The Hunted'. Really good 5th book and I don't often get the chance to say that! This series goes back and forth in time and in location and the author does a great job of weaving the books together. In this we finally get to the origins of the leader of the zombie pack and his is a horrific story. We start with a new group of kids so are not quite sure when we are but as we meet one of the few remaining adults who isn't infected and his son we see a different side to the story than anything in the previous books. It is terrifying and tragic and I loved it. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

Part of the Holloway crew and volunteers from the Natural History museum set out on a fool’s errand to find more equipment, medicine and chemicals for their experiments. After all, these kids are trying to find a cure, but there’s a lot of strain and conflict and mistrust going around as they make their way to the Promithios Biomedical Center.
In comes the Twisted Kids. Skinner, Fish-Face, Pink Surfer, TV Boy, Monstar and the rest of the gang have answers and explanations as to what actually caused the outbreak. They’re highly intelligent, in the same way that The Kid is, not exactly talkative, but a fun addition to the story.
Of course, we get our usual gore and horror, exactly what we’d expect out of The Enemy series. So don’t fret.
The Fallen explains more about the disease, it sets the tone for the next book in the series, and it’s extremely well-written. Frankly, I can’t wait to see how Charlie Higson‘s going to tie everything together.
In other words, it’s a must-read series. But I don’t have to tell you that if you’ve already started to read this series… and if you haven’t begun yet, what are you waiting for?
