(  ) hmonkeyreads | Jan 25, 2024 |  I really did like how the book switched perspectives as well. I almost wish it was done more often in he book. I know the story is kelsea but I would liked to see POV from more characters. I like how magic was introduced and I hope we see more of it. I really love kelsea as a character and I am excited to learn more about her path in future books.  This book is both a great mix of magic and distopian novels. I rec you check it out. Fantastic world building, such compelling characters that stay with you long after you've finished reading. Well-written and solid plotting (of both kinds!).
Kelsea is a true hero.
However, I would not suggest this is a YA book. There is gore, violence, and brutality (and plenty of swearing). Some tough stuff to read through but never gratuitous. (
