Fiction. Literature. Suspense. Thriller. HTML:A riveting story of suspense from John Grisham??s #1 New York Times bestseller, Ford County??now available as a standalone eBook short

Wheelchair-bound Inez Graney and her two older sons, Leon and Butch, take a bizarre road trip through the Mississippi Delta to visit the youngest Graney brother, Raymond, who??s been locked away on death row for eleven years . . . and it could well be their last visit. Going back to Ford County, Mississippi, the setting of his first novel, A Time to Kill, Grisham brings the Graneys and their world to vivid and colorful life, making it abundantly clear why he is our most popular storyteller.

In the short story "Fetching Raymond," Inez Graney and her sons Butch and Leon drive to see the youngest brother, now on death row in the state prison, on what may be their last such trip. I found the story enjoyable, and rated it with 4 stars. The story is included in the collection "Ford County - Stories", but is available as a single item in Kindle format. ( )

An inconsequential short story which surprisingly fails on many fronts especially when considering who wrote it. Of all his plots this one is pedestrian, predictable and foolish to say the least. Fortunately it's very short! ( )

Didn't realize until I got into it that it was a part from another I already read. I hate when they do that :( ( )

Convicted for murder he is trying to convince himself and family he is innocent. He was wrong and will pay the price ( )

Available at DailyLit.

If you already have read any book by this author, consider this more than enough because the plots hardly change from one book to another. ( )
