Penelope was excited for school. Her best friend wanted to see what she was doing on the first day of school. Everything she told him he said she should pick something simpler she agreed. I love hippos and i love this book! Great to read to students or children on the first day of school. It promotes self confidence and once again, the inclusion of animals makes this book relatable to all readers. Lynn Plourde shows that happiness and enjoyment comes from being comfortable and content in one's own skin. ( )
