Vermont Wild: Adventures of Vermont Fish & Game Wardens by Megan Price is an excellent and frequently hilarious read. Though I doubt you'll find this is bookstores outside of Vermont, it is well worth "Amazon-ing" for. (

I live in Vermont, grew up hunting and fishing (not in Vermont) and enjoy the outdoors (Vermont and beyond) so I had hopes for this collection of stories. Most, sadly, were focused on Northern Vermont, outside of my usual range, so I was familiar but not intimately, with most of the locales. The stories were funny, not Pat McManus level laugh-out-loud, but amusing. Surely they'd be great to hear at a deer camp at the end of a day. (
