Shinji is being picked up when an alarm sounds in Toyko 3 due to a onster attacking. A giant robot, Eva, is fighting the monster piloted by Rei. This book is set into 6 stages, which seems like chapters to me. Shinji's father wants him to piolet the Eva insead of Rei and eventually he does. ( )

Really great manga version of the famous anime. I re-watched the series recently and thought I'd give this manga version a try. The anime is fast and furious so it's really nice to be able to slowly savor the story in manga form. It appears there are five "3-in-1" volumes to this and I'll be sure to read them all. Maybe reading this manga will help me actually make sense out of the story..... ;-) ( )
