He was very poor, but he became rich man because he found a new job. It is a paint factory which puts harmful chemicals in the river. After he knew that, he began to be worried. At last, his daughter drunk the water of the river. I think Duncan is stupid because he was cheated by the owner of the factory. He should have realized that it is strange to get so much money and quited the factory as soon as he knew real things. John Duncan found a new good job which he can earn much money, so his hamily, John and two childlen, could change their life luxualy. However, after changing, his family could'nt get along with because of especially his daughter's marriege. And also, he noticed that his wark make the river dirty, and kill the animals because of the chemical material... He is so honest that he brought a charge to his boss, but he said it robs much people's job. What he will do? and will he make up with his childlen? When I read this book, I felt little lonly, because I knew john's thinking that he don't want to lose his job, but he love his children from bottom of his heart. I think it's difficult to live happily. So, what is important is to thank for an ordinary day. John Duncan has not had any work for long time but luckily he began to work in a factory as a biologist. He and his family became rich - they can have a big house, boat, all things they want to have.Howener,John have to tell a lie for this happy life. I can understand the reason he didn't say the truth about his job for his family, but I don' t think it's the best way.He was little stupid. This story make us think about how the family should be. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

The job was too good. There had to be a problem - and there was. John Duncan was an honest man, but he needed money. He had children to look after. He was ready to do anything, and his bosses knew it. They gave him the job because he couldn't say no; he couldn't afford to be honest. And the job was like a poison inside him. It changed him and blinded him, so that he couldn't see the real poison - until it was too late. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
