Chapter 1: 'The Boy From Balaclava' - Graham Cyril Kennedy was born on 15 February 1934, in a house in Camden Street, in Melbourne's East St Kilda, where he was delivered by a nursing sister who practised midwifery. With the hindsight of astonishing fame and financial success Graham quipped: 'I can't remember being born, but I know I was, because Nurse Harding, who brought me into the world, once rang 3UZ and told me about it.'
