Sweet and rather silly. The funny thing is that in this purportedly non-fiction piece, she writes very much as she does in The Secret Garden - I kept recognizing phrases. She's telling the story of her Robin, on which Mary's robin is based - how a robin seems to bond with a human (who treats him properly and stays Still...). The language is a trifle odd, the sentiments are...very sentimental, which is why I think it's silly. At least she didn't try to take him with her. Not terrible, but I doubt I'll want to reread it. ( )
