I can't get enough of fairy tale retellings, and I enjoyed the urban setting in this one, where the baby bear gets lost in the big city, but luckily finds a familiar face. This book is based on the fairytale Goldilocks and the three bears. However, this book is about a bear who wanders into the big city and to an apartment to find some food and a place to nap. During his nap, the family who lives there comes home. The family consists of a mom, dad, a little child. The role reversal in the book is well thought out. This book is good for all age readers. Teachers can use this book to show the descriptive language and the new vocabulary that is being used. Also, teachers can use the student's background knowledge of the classic fairytale to make predictions about what they think this book will be. This book is the fractured fairy tale of the original "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." In this book, a bear goes into the city and after venturing through the city, decides he needs to find a place to take a nap. He stumbles upon a very nice apartment and decides to go in and have a snack, lay around, and eventually find a bed to sleep in. When the family that lives in this apartment returns home, they are shocked at how messy their house is. They eventually find the bear asleep in one of their beds, where the mommy and the bear start too think they know each other. It turns out that the mommy, of this apartment, is Goldilocks, and the bear is baby bear. The two catch up on old memories and enjoy time together with Goldilocks' new family. This book is great for teaching vocabulary, seeing as it is filled with higher level words. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
