In this book Roy Stephenson examines how Quakers can and do put their most deeply held principles, springing from their religious experiences, into practice. Drawing from the depth of the religious tradition which first gave rise to George Fox's pioneering message in the 17th century, he shows how these principles remain the radical foundation of Quaker faith. Quakers can continue to be radical in this century, even within their own structures, through the way in which Friends in Britain are selected to hold office in the Society.
