This is such a wonderful adventure for the little readers in your life! Between the storyline, the characters and the pictures, my boys were in Heaven! It is one of their new favorite books to read before bed (they are 4 and 6). They really enjoy trying to find all the dragons in the book as well! Embark on a magical adventure with James, and meet some great characters along the way. ( )

James has just moved to Iceland and decides one night he needs an adventure. When he sees the moon looking so close to the top of the mountain he knows it is within his reach. He feels a need to touch the moon.

He sets off on the adventure of his lifetime. Along the way he runs into an Icelandic legend in Syvok, a magical Fairy. Syvok in turn introduces him to an amazing dragon.

It takes the spirit and might of all three to complete their quest and along the way they become friends.

This was a great story and should be an easy read for kids. The characters are brought to life with the writing and some amazing illustrations.

This is my first read by this amazing author. I loved the book so much I bought it!! The illustrations are beautiful and I just love the characters. The fairy and the dragons name might be hard to pronounce for younger children, but when read by an adult the children you read them to will love it!! They will want you to read it again and again. I can't wait for the next book in the childrens series. My kids just love it!! The author shows that she has done her research of the history and mythology of that region. James embarks on a quest to touch the moon, when he meets Syrok the Icelandic fairy and Matthias the talking dragon together they try and touch the moon.This book is a magically journey of a boy who lets his imagination soar and finds out that it is real!!I give 5 stars just love!! James has noticed the moon. It's brightness calls to him and he longs to touch it. To find out whether it's really as beautiful as it appears to him.

Taking matters into his own hands, he decides that he's going to try and touch the moon. Waiting for the cover of night, he soon embarks on a journey that will leave him wondering whether his experience was truly real.

Meeting one of the little people along the way, James is completely mind-boggled that the stories about them were true. Yet he does not let this little fact deter him from the task at hand. Instead, he invites his new friend to tag along.

New friends and magic await their every turn. The moon's lure strengthens with his every step. James knows that his adventure has just begun and his excitement builds and builds as he draws ever close closer to the moon. So much so, that he prays his adventure will never end.

This was such a great read. I enjoyed it immensely. The illustrations found throughout the book made it even more delightful. Wendy spun such a story full of magic and folklore that captivates the reader from the very start. Both children and adults will love this story very much. Truly recommend it. ( )
