I think it is magic of being able to see into this other part of our world makes this book special. The illustrations are very pretty and crisp. I plan on reading this book before winter break in December or when we get back in January. Waiting for when it snows would also be fun. The back of the book has some information about each animal that was featured in the story. "Over and Under the Snow" is the story of a boy and father as the go cross-country skiing. As the ski, the father is explaining to the boy the world that is going on beneath the snow and all of the animals sleeping and dwelling in their homes under their feet. This is a good example of "faction" as the story is very lyrical in it's telling but the information about the animals and their homes is informational. This would be an excellent book to share about animal habitats and behaviors or as a mentor text for teaching prepositional phrases. This is one book in a series of "over and under" books in different habitats such as the pond and the rainforest. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

Over the snow, the world is hushed and white, but under the snow is a secret world of squirrels and snowshoe hares, bears and bullfrogs, and many others who live outside in the woods during the winter. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
