Great childrens book to introduce them to Greek Mythology. I wish somebody had read this book to me, because it does a great job of breaking it down and helping young readers understand.

I feel that the mythology unit can be confusing and somewhat hard to understand. I like this book because it breaks that myths down into their own short story. This helps to keep all of the characters specific. The only thing I did not like about this book was the illustrations. They felt immature and estranged from the story. There was a disconnect between the myth and the art for me.

Brightly colored all encompassing encyclopedia of Greek Myths that is easy to read, understand and approach. Each god or goddess is given a page explaining what he or she doesn. It then has a section for each lesser being type. Following the explanation of who is who and how they relate, are all the myths themselves as gods and goddess interact with heros, humans, and creatures of all kinds. Would use this book from about 4th grade up. VERY Good book.
