This novella was fun and good but it felt more like a collection of cut scenes from the first book. We see Gwen first learning about Mythos and her orientation for the school and first encounter with Logan but I learn anything I didn't already know. Still it's a short read and worth the amount it takes to read it. (

This is Mythos Academy 0.5 so I imagine you were meant to read it as a prologue to the series. I read it after I'd already read the first book and I'm glad I did. As a prologue, this story doesn't do its job. It does introduce me to Gwen and her powers, but it doesn't tell me as much about the series as I'd like.

This story isn't necessary to your enjoyment of the Mythos Academy series. (

This short novella introduces Gwen and her powers. It's also incredibly sad. The reader gets to see the downsides of Gwen's power. It's a heavy start to a heavy series. (
