The book is a story of many proverbs. A little boy learns many life lesson from getting mangoes off a tree. The books falls under determining importance because the children have to pick out the meaning behind the proverb while hearing about the mangoes. ( )

This book would be great for order of importance because Francisco's journey took a lot of twists and turns. The story is practical and the main character shows determination which is an added bonus for the children that read the book. Also, on each page there are words in Spanish that have the translations right after and in they're included in glossary at the end.

This is honestly one of my personal favorites! It is is a bilingual story told through proverbs and demonstrates Francisco learning a valuable life lesson just as any child or reader would. His Father gives him a task and through a series of trial and error, Francisco learns as he goes to and from home and the mango tree. On his journey he visits family members and manages to warm the heart of his Tia who at first seemed to be bitter about everything. ( )

This is the story of Francisco, a young boy who is celebrating his birthday. His father sends him off to pick mangos from the town tree, however the bees make it very difficult to get the mango by himself. He uses the help of his neighbors to get the mangos, and ends up giving them away before he returns home. He returns home and his dad asks where the mangos went, when Fransisco tells him he gave them away, all his neighbors burst in to surprise him with the mangos they picked for him!
