Fantasy This was an enjoyable, snack-sized way to experience more of some of my favorite literary characters. I could use a book that covers the WHOLE history of Will and Halt, but this gives snippets of their lives to add little tidbits to what we know from the main books in the series. The premise of this book, being a collection of stories read by historians in the future long after the Rangers are all dead and mostly forgotten, made me sad. I know that the characters aren't even real, and of course, since they lived many years ago in the fictional world, they die at some point. But actually reading that they were dead and gone was heart-wrenching. I don't want to have to acknowledge that they die! Still, it was a really interesting way to provide this collection of short stories. Short stories really are not my favorite, but this book is a lot of fun to read. It gives you a good piece of what was supposed to be the end of Will Treaty's story. Honestly, I believe that this was a fantastic ending, but of course, John added more books. I will be reading them as well. I am going to be jumping into the Brotherband Chronicles next! Most a series of marginally connected stories involving petty thefts. However, there are a few more important ones, including Halt joining the Rangers, the story of Will Treaty's parents and how he came to Castel Araluen, and two important weddings. In addition, there are stories involving Will's four legged friends. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
