There are so many questions in life, but few are as universal as this: "What is the afterlife like?" For those who have put their hope and trust in Jesus Christ here on earth, heaven awaits. Addressing questions as basic as What will we do there? and What is it like?, theologian Dr. Paul Enns dives deep into the Scriptures while reflecting on the very personal nature of what is to come. Heaven Revealed is a helpful, easy-to-read guidebook for Christians as well as an encouragement for those of us who are left here on earth after our Christian loved ones fall asleep in the Lord. Follow along as Dr. Enns succinctly leads you through what the Bible has to say about heaven. In grief, we all need hope--hope for our loved ones who are now gone, and hope for ourselves as eternity looms closer. Heaven should be something to look forward to, not something to be confused about.… (mais)

NCLA Review - The title is very accurate in that the information in this book is very revealing. Some things I had never thought about Heaven but makes perfect sense as the author validates his writings with scriptural reference. The author gives answers to questions such as Where is Heaven? What Kind of Body Will We Have? What Will We Do In Heaven? and ten other relevant questions concluding with How Then Should We Live? The author shares many personal circumstances from his own life and others. This book became especially meaningful to me as my father-in-law, who was a Christian, stepped into eternity as I was reviewing it. Knowing he and many others I know who are in Heaven were experiencing at that very moment what I was reading made it all more relevant. Rating: 4 —ARG ( )

When I first started reading this book, I realized that I really didn’t know much about Heaven itself. Yes I know that everyone who loves Jesus and has given themselves over to God will eventually go there. However, beyond that, Heaven was an extremely mysterious concept.

Paul starts out by telling us why he wanted to know what Heaven was. He had been married to Helen for years. After she passed away, he felt lonely and lost. He still had his belief in God. However, he really missed Helen. So he decided he wanted to learn more about Heaven in the attempts of understanding where Helen was.

Paul discusses the fact that there are three different ways in which Heaven is referenced in the Bible. He then goes into detail on each. He further expounds on how we raise up to Heaven and then what our existence will be like once we are there.

One thing that I really liked was that he backed everything up with Bible references. However, he does not list the verses themselves, just the references (such as 2 Cor 2:12) so that you can look them up yourself.

In conjunction with the Wakela's World Disclosure Statement, I received a product in order to enable my review. No other compensation has been received. My statements are an honest account of my experience with the brand. The opinions stated here are mine alone. ( )
