For centuries the Psalms have been central to Jewish and Christian tradition and spirituality. To the faculty of Divinity, University of Glasgow
The dedication is an acknowledgement of the privilege I had of being a member of the Faculty of Divinity in the University of Glasgow for twenty years.
I owe an incalculable debt of gratitude to colleagues who made these years stimulating and enjoyable and to generations of students who kept asking questions, not least about the Psalms.
