This fills in a lot of the gaps between the two movies, particularly things that weren't really clear in Tron: Legacy. ( )

Fills in the gap between the original Tron and Tron: Legacy. The art is slick and consistent throughout, does a good job of getting the feel right, but the length was maybe a third of what I'd have liked. There wasn't enough room for depth or drama. I'm also sensing a bit of tweaking/retcon with the original Tron, which isn't unexpected. Enjoyable, but more candy floss than a steak. ( )

This graphic novel is the prequel to Tron and takes place in 1982, where Kevin Flynn a video gamer/ progamer and the inventor of Tron experiences life as no other human being has.This book gives the reader insight of the creation of Tron, and to Kevins life before he caught a glimpse of the strange ditigal world he was fortunate to experience and use as a base to creating the game where there is light cycle races and dangerous disc battles. This book is action filled, great illustrations, print is small, however young readers will enjoy reading it, as well as what went behind creating the graphic novel with detailed sketches of the characters, appropriate for readers 10 years and older. Can be used for descriptive writing. ( )
