He goes on to say that Western Civilization adopted biblical principles as its moral foundation. This means that everything that the Constitution was designed for (limited government, civil liberties etc.) was in place because of a "natural" ethical division. That there have always been two classes of people in the world. Saints and sinners, good and bad. So with that in mind, the unification of all people is to be limited. The ideal government would be one that kept the peace between these and also suppressing outward manifestations of evil (p45). The idea is that the state is not to make men good but to "restrain men from public evil acts."
In essence, he states that from a biblical worldview, the conspiracy is against God. That man, in part due to Bible criticism and evolutionary theory, has put himself as God in the world today. With that premise, those without a Christian worldview hold to ethical relativism with one exception: that is the brotherhood of man. If all men are brothers (and not, as the Bible states, some saved and others unsaved) then it would only be natural for man to unite in a community of man, a new, one world order. One of the principles they share with each other is that there are "no ethical norms that inherently divide the 'community of man'" and so that is basically ethics, without permanent norms (p95).
I believe that Mr. North brings to the table in this book something many books on the conspiracy miss, the Christian perspective of good vs. evil. That this is ultimately a spiritual battle and a conspiracy against God. Though it is an older one I suggest that anyone interested in the topic give it a read. It is available on E-book format and some in print editions are still available. However Mr. North is also a Dominionist, so keep that in mind when reading some of the stuff toward the end. And remember, no matter what happens, God knows it all and He is in control (Psalm 2) ( )
