This is a rather disappointing book, especially given that it was written by an acknowledged expert in the field. The first half is somewhat confusing, and overall there is perhaps too much focus on parliamentary politics and not the king himself. One other problem is that the copious references are done in a way which interferes with readibility in such a compact text. (
