I really enjoyed the layout of this book and think that it is suitable for upper elementary students. Many of the topics covered are ones that I remember learning about in fourth and fifth grade. The book does discuss evolution, so using this book would depend on the environment. If that topic was not allowed to be discussed in school, I would most likely just use the other sections in class. I think that this book has a lot of information and students would benefit from reading it during their units on oceans.
