On 29 September 2009, the former William Rainey Harper Memorial Library was reopened as the Harper Memorial Library Commons, "...a 24-hour study and group collaboration space managed by the College." There is no longer a circulating collection at Harper. However, the University Library does have a presence in the space through the "College Librarians at the Commons," located in the West Tower of Harper. The "College Librarians" will offer such services as general reference, one-on-one consultations, workshops and skill training sessions. Hours are Monday-Friday from 2-5pm during the academic year.
