I've invited him. Surely David Foster Wallace would want to be a member of Infinite Jesters! I'd love to hear what he thinks about the group created in honor of his classic tome.

And don't tell me he's dead, because he's not. He just input some more books recently, I saw in my member connections.

I bet he picks up that Andre Agassi book. Especially now that I see its out in a trade paperback format!

Will you answer our questions, David, or will you be remaining silent?

There will be no shortage of recondite footnotes.*

* Recondite, adj, Not easily understood; abstruse. Concealed; hidden. Lat. reconditus, p. part. of recondere, put away.

I have absolutely no idea why you, pyrocow, responded to this message, when it was David Foster Wallace I was addressing. Hopefully his people can connect with my people and we can work an arrangement out. It's my understanding, pyro, that DFW is shy about public interviews, so please don't make this any more difficult for him than it already is.

Thanks!

Doubtful. See: "How Tracy Austin Broke My Heart."

Okay well yeah ... Tracy Austin put all her intellectual energy into tennis and wasn't very articulate otherwise, outside of tennis, but what about the Roger Federer piece? Roger Federer didn't break David Foster Wallace's heart, did he?
