Some of Bob's earliest demos. Great for fans of the Dylan's folkie incarnation -

Apparently there will also be a box set of the early albums in mono.

Have the Witmark demos on pre order with Amazon and got this email the other:

We're writing to let you know you'll receive a Bonus CD with your recent order for The Witmark Demos: 1962-1964 (The Bootleg Series Vol. 9).

"Bob Dylan: In Concert, Brandeis University, 1963" has never been heard, bootlegged or circulated in any way and will arrive to you with the CD you've ordered

Nice!

Thanks! I hadn't pre-ordered, but did so when I found out about the bonus. I like the retro look of the Brandeis cover!

I've pre-ordered the Witmark Demos. I think I'll wait for the reviews on the early albums box, as I already have most of them and like them fine in stereo.

I checked my albums and have noted that the only Dylan mono recording I have is The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. I'd love to replace the old vinyl with the new mono set, but I can't justify the expediture. :(

There's also a sampler of the mono recordings available.

I find I have a Blonde on Blonde in mono LP, and it has slightly different pictures.

I was very pleased with Bootleg Yrs 8 -- I was addicted for a while to that spare Lanoish version of Mississippi that opened it. The Whitmark demos I have (or had) a lot of em on bootlegs but I think there are some that seem new, and it'll definitely be nice to have them all in one place in good sound quality. Always thought Springsteen should do I'll Keep it with Mine...
