As a relative newbee I'm catching up reading most posts in this group so I might be out of sync.
Tim asking how numbers are presented in other languages/countries gives me the feeling the wheel might be reinvented here. You won't be the first with internatianalisation problems. So others will have cracked the puzzle. Did you google for a PHP script you can feed with a language and a number or date to construct the proper string? A very quick search on JavaScript suggests browsers are not reliable on that subject, so I'd try PHP but I'm not at all familiar with that.
