Actually, it would be most fitting if no one answered this, but I've just been entering books (I am new here) and was at first surprised and now a bit depressed to learn how many of my beloved titles are the first or second or maybe third to be entered. I thought for sure my stained glass titles would join a festive crowd, but no. I'm not even to the obscure part of my collection yet. Sure, 953 (eekmath) folks had already entered "Egyptian Book of the Dead" and that felt good, but now it's back to the path less traveled. Sorry, folks, I just had to do something. eek

Revel in your obscurity. There is no special feeling in entering the books of the Harry Potter series, which appear to be owned by everyone.
I have about 144 books entered by one other LibraryThing member (see Vous et nul autre in the Libarary Statistics), and probably many more than that number with no other member yet entering the particular volume.
View it as a badge of honor and enjoy your Mean/median book obscurity numbers in your Library statistics.

I found an interesting museum docent library that had a lot of fascinating titles that I either own or have brought home to hold for many semesters from our University library. I have not entered any of the borrowed books on semester loan that have had stayed at my house for YEARS. ;-) Perhaps it's indolence and reluctance to haul the tomes back. I just like to live with them!
Every once in awhile I buy a copy for my personal library when I visit a museum book shop, or large bookstore. Then I return the library copy. (True confession.)
