I have the first 9 books of the series in the form of omnibii (omnibuses?) published by the Science-Fiction Book Club, and and rather like them (although I plan to get the trade editions as well, just bought a first edition, second printing of White Knight off E-Bay yesterday). I was wondering if anyone knew of plans by the SFBC to publish the rest of the series in this form? They have the rest of the series up to Changes available in "trade" edition through the site, but no fifth omnibus has yet been published, and with 10-12 now out, and all but the first omnibus being two novels, you'd think one would have been published by now.

Plural is omnibuses. :)
I'm sad to see that there aren't any more of these. I love omnibus editions.

Thanks Imrahil. I'm sad to see this as well. I can't help but wonder why they began publishing them, only to switch to trade editions partway through. It certainly looks odd on the shelf. One would think the omnibuses would be cheaper to print, though maybe they weren't selling well.

Wikipedia indicates that the first six books were only originally printed as paperbacks. Since a hardcover version wasn't available, I wonder if that gave SFBC the idea to reprint them as hardcover omnibuses.
Although it "breaks" the look of my set too, I think I'd rather SFBC hunt around for out-of-print or hard-to-find titles than recently published books that are easily available at your local bookstore (if you still have one) or online.
