Hi,
I don't read Russian (big regret!), and I'm sure the future classic authors are by and large untranslated into English.
I wonder if members of this group have any idea who those exciting authors might be? Or maybe there's a better place to discuss this somewhere else on LT?
Thanks!

I really like an author by the name of Ilya Stogoff. I wouldn't say he is a future classic, however he has a very contemporary voice. Boris Akunin is the pen name for a writer whose works have somewhat been translated into English. They are fantastic detective novels based in czarist Russia.

Hi,
I happen to be involved in translation and publishing of new Russian literature (as well as classics). There are some absolutely amazing young writers out there. One of them is Pavel Kostin who I met personally and am currently in the process of publishing his latest novel in both Russian and English. I am hoping to get a few copies for LT members at some point. Do let me know if you'd like to be put on the list of reviewers. And more info can be found here: www.urban-romantic.com
