I work in a school library and I can't tell you how many times a child has said when the Pigeon books are being read "He is talking straight to me." That is why Mo Willems is so brilliant.

I don't have any children. I buy his books for myself. I love his sense of humor!

Elephant and Piggy are great. Many learn to read books have bored my kids - but my youngest son loves Elephant and Piggy!

I picked up a few of his books for a Children's Literature course I took (and of them my favourite was There is Bird on Your Head!). Didn't know that he wrote for Sesame Street! What a delightful surprise :)

I somehow have this idea I don't like his books, but yet then read them and really enjoy them. My kids (5 & 7) recently go a lot out of City Dog, Country Frog, which came out last year.

These books are some of my favorites and my husband buys them for ME! I share them with my nephews and nieces but I love them. They are the most clever children's books!

Are you a "knuffle bunny" person or a "nuffle bunny" person?

I believe Mo said it is pronounced with the the K.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mo Willems. Did an author study with my second-graders. They loved all of his books. His humor is awesome and funny on so many levels. They ended up writing lots of take-offs of his books. We wrote to him and he WROTE BACK!! It was fabulous!!

Let's say hi to friends who fly was one of the first books my son really loved. He was probably about 1 1/2 and I was finding it hard to get him to sit still long enough to listen to a book so finding a book that he adored was priceless. Now he's nearly four and he keeps on wanting to play games where one of us is Elephant and the other one is Piggie. I think it's safe to say my son is being raised on Mo Willems.

Huge Mo Willems fan here too! I have already shared his newest title... That is Not a Good Idea! A fellow librarian and I told it in together. She did a southern voice for the chicken. I did a "dracula" voice for the fox and a high-pitched voice for the chicks. The audience had a BLAST!

Read this to a group of girls in an effort to help a behavior issue. They loved it, and begged for repeating. I left it in the classroom for the other teachers to share again after nap time!
