Anyone with other fun things with friends & food?
International Night Out
Two other friends & I decided we wanted to try Persian. One friend was raised in Iran so she was able to help us greatly. Over wonderful food & conversation we made a date to do this again next month with a more upscale Greek location. That too was a hit. Third month we had one other lady who joined us and we tried french. Such fun. Next month we are considering Cuban cuisine.
"Booty Night"
A friend chose a Friday night during a particulalry bleek & cold winter to invite several ladies to her home for "Bootie Night". We were clueless! She greeted us at the door asking us to exchange our shoes for a pair of fuzzy, soft footies (booties), she had a fire made and we continued on to where we selected a mug & a drink from a selection of hot teas, wassail, & coccoa. We visited with one another over munchies and then Kathy served comfort food of hot, home-made soup and she also had made a thicker chicken & dumpling dish. Ladies from their 30's to their 60's felt so cozy. We gathered in the room with the fire later and we were all just smitten. I think had she added Brandy we would have all spent the night!
