An excerpt from a story on MLB.com:
"Furthermore, as Barry Bonds approaches a March 2 trial date on charges of lying to a federal grand jury about performance-enhancing drugs, Selig added he was considering the reinstatement of Henry Aaron as the rightful home run king in the official record books."
Does anyone think this is the answer?

Absolutely, we should pretend that everything we don't like never happened. And that will make it go away.

Probably not, but it makes a small part of me chuckle.
The record books areprobably almost certainly full of ill-gotten achievements. Bud needs to work on cleaning up the game for the future, not the past.

It's a silly idea, and my guess is that Selig is cynical and knows very well that it is a silly idea, but he's posturing and trying to appear oh-so-concerned about those bad, bad steroids. Whereas for a long time his approach was to look the other way, just like other people in the industry--both the owners and the union, in collusion. And this was to the pleasure of many fans, who liked seeing the game played by bloated Elvises in jump-suits.
Maybe there should be an asterisk put beside Selig's name, to qualify which Selig we're talking about--depending on the period.

No. No one thinks this is the answer. Congratulations, Bud! It's unanimous.
Bud Selig is not a part of the solution...

I think Bud should erase all Bonds' records, the day he gives back all the money he made from full ballparks, TV revenues, merchandising, etc that Bonds helped put in his wallet...

Agreed, but I can't say that I blame him: he's just going along with the media created fan-media-herd-synergy.
