Hey, my hubby and I are living in Argentina for the year and trying to get to know quality Argentine writers. We´re about to head off on vacations to Cordoba, Santiago de Chile, and Buenos Aires. Does anyone know any good literary pilgrimages in these places? I would especially love to worship Manuel Puig or Alfonsina Storni somewhere, but the internet has proven less helpful than I thought on these points. Thanks!

for sure in BsAs you will find several reference points on Borges- in Palermo Viejo and El Centro. These are easy to track down. You should also look into Tomas Eloy martinez- his The Tango Singer is full of BsAs.
As for the country side I have no clues for you although I am sure they are out there. There is also an interesting issue of Habitus, a literary journal, on BsAs which, I believe, references Mar La Plata.
i envy your time spent htere - I will not be back there until Dec 2009
