Here are the titles in case they're not too clear:

Looking for Alaska by John Green
The Dark Hills Divide by Patrick Carman
Seabiscuit by Laura Hillenbrand
Krakatoa by Simon Winchester
Shakespeare in the Theatre by Stanley Wells
More Information Than You Require by John Hodgman
The Shack by William Young
Before Jane Austen Harrison Ross Steeves
Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi
Graphic Novels: Everything You Need to Know by Paul Gravett

Some of those are library books, and I'm sure all will be read eventually. All of them fit into categories for a challenge I'm going to start, and Reading Lolita in Tehran would be a reread. I'm kind of wavering on what book to start next after I'm finished a couple I'm working on now. I'll make a final decision over the weekend.

(Edited to fix touchstones...Sorry about No. 1 Ladies...that was picked up from the photo link).

I was going to nudge Reading Lolita in Tehran, but then I noticed you said it would be a reread, so instand I will recommend Shakespeare in the Theatre.

I'm going to nudge Krakatoa. Hubbie read it and enjoyed it.

Both Krakatoa and Before Jane Austen sound interesting!

Like urania, I would nudge Reading Lolita in Tehran, but you have so many good books, it seems sad to start the year with a reread. No?

The Shack has been running circles in my family for months now, everyone has enjoyed it, so I'll give that a nudge.

But I loved Seabiscuit (I'm a rider), so if I get two, I'd nudge that second!

Krakatoa is both an easy and interesting read. I think Winchester is one of the better "pop" historians out there.

I'll nudge Looking for Alaska, it's a good YA novel with quirky characters. I've recently read all three of his books and enjoyed them all.

I have not read Krakatoa but, since I enjoyed two of Simon Winchester's books, I will nudge that.

I've read and enjoyed both Krakatoa and Seabiscuit, adn can cheerfully nudge either. Also a nudgoid to Before Jane Austen (which I haven't read) because it looks interesting.

Krakatoa and Before Jane Austen both sound interesting, but I'll nudge Seabiscuit since it also sits on my tbr pile.

Seabiscuit has also been on my tbr pile for years. I will nudge that in the hopes that your motivation will spread to me :)

Tally so far:

Looking for Alaska by John Green -- 1
The Dark Hills Divide by Patrick Carman -- 0
Seabiscuit by Laura Hillenbrand -- 4
Krakatoa by Simon Winchester -- 6
Shakespeare in the Theatre by Stanley Wells -- 1
More Information Than You Require by John Hodgman -- 0
The Shack by William Young -- 1
Before Jane Austen Harrison Ross Steeves -- 1.5
Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi -- would've/could've been 2 :-)
Graphic Novels: Everything You Need to Know by Paul Gravett -- 0

So far, it looks like Krakatoa and Seabiscuit are the top two choices. If anyone else adds nudges before Saturday, I'll make a final tally before starting a new book then.

Thanks to everyone for your input!

Krakatoa wins based on the most votes, so I'll be starting that next. I've also started The Shack because it's due back at the library soon.
