Remember that this weekend, Oct 3rd and 4th, is the International Book Fair in San Diego at City College.

Here is the site: http://www.sdcitybookfair.com/

Hopefully I'll get there and think to myslf as I look at all the people, "I wonder is they are on Librarything..."

I'm planning on trying to drop in on Saturday. Shall we wear LibraryThing name tags?

If you want to ;-)

I'm a bit shy outside the web, so I am going incognito.

If I make it at all, that is. I have a photoshoot to do that morning :-P

I'd be tempted to go if I weren't broke from too many bookstore visits in the last week or two. It's too depressing to be around books and not be able to buy any.

Well, the problem is that it is educator's weekend at Borders, and I'm going there with a shopping list to get my 25% discount. So I will probably have blown my budget by the time I get to the Book Fair. (I know, independents=good, chains=bad, but 20% off = good too.)

I'm not shy, if we make it down that direction I'll wear an "LT" Charger shirt and modify it a bit... there's also a big sale this weekend at Yellow Book Road, email me and I'll forward you a coupon...

tut tut, looks like rain...

I went to the Book Festival before going to Borders (good thing!) and picked up two children's books on Shakespeare for my nephew and a first edition of Ray Bradbury's Farewell Summer for $10! Also caught the very end of Juan Williams' presentation. And got a free sample of pancakes from Hash House. Then I went to Borders and got lots of children's fantasy (check my profile page to see what, as I've been reading it at a rapid pace) on top of that! and a couple grown-up sf as well.
