I've been hunting for the perfect graduate t-shirt. Here are some possibilites:

Trust me, I'm a doctor.
Like, Duh.
And yet, I digress.
Best in Show.
I'm brainstorming here (and quite a storm it is)
I have a Masters of Applied Science-Fiction Degree.
Of course I don't look busy. I did it right the first time.
I speak sarcasm as a second language.
Damn straight I'm a college grad - paper or plastic?

Oooh, I like it - the walking dead who live off brains.

As a graduate I am now confident that I know nothing. Before I wasn't sure.

Carpe Debitum.

... I liked "And yet, I digress..."

My college history honors society shirt was a long favorite of mine: A tag cloud-like listing of various battles, eras, disasters, and other events, captioned: "History: Just one damned thing after another."

*Raises hand* History PhDs: Just one damned person after another.

PhD Comics delivers, as always:
"Grad School -- It seemed better than getting a real job"
"Caution -- Thesis Writing in Progress"
"This research made from 30% post-published material"
((Heart)) Data
Research (tool)
Grad school as life's snooze button
and others...

As a science grad student, some of the stuff at XKCD also applies to me,
"I'm not slacking off. My code's compiling."
"Stand back -- I'm going to try SCIENCE"
"/Everybody stand back/ -- I know regular expressions"
"Science -- It works"
"Maybe if this shirt is witty enough someone will finally love me"
"Just shy -- not antisocial (you can talk to me!)"

"This shirt is beyond the scope of this current study."
"Doctor (of something-or-other)"
"Overeducated and Underemployed"

My favorite was "I speak sarcasm as a second language" but that applied to me before grad school :)

My favorite is "English does not borrow from other languages, it follows them down dark alleys, mugs them, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar." It was a gift --i don't know from where.

My second favorite is a list of famous opening lines.

Grad students in my history dept. made a shirt that reads, in florid cursive: We love dead people.

Everyone either loves that one or hates it.

'Beware! I am a duck-tor' (with the picture of a duck with a stetoscope). I bought that for a friend who got her PhD in Oxford.

"History: There's no future in it."

My father-in-law (who always has something smart @rssed to say) once asked me if I got a PhD would I make him call me Doctor. I looked at him and said "No, but now that I have my Masters you'll have to call me MASTER."
