I like the new skyline photograph. Where is it taken from?

Jun 9, 2008, 11:37am

Thank you. It is taken from the Chula Vista Nature Center.

I added a touch of highlights to the original color, I have to admit.

I love the contrast between the ocean and glowing sand.

I thought it would be a perfect picture for the group because of the old book-to-a-deserted-island situation that is usually asked of people. It looks like one is washed up on the beach of the Isle of San Diego ;o)

I shall be doing a Harbor Cruise this upcoming weeking; therefore more photos should arise.

I think that Chula Vista Center is on our list of things to do for the summer... worth the drive from El Cajon?

Jun 18, 2008, 1:10pm

Oh, yes. Very much so.

Jun 21, 2008, 1:32pm

I love the new picture! The nature center has it's own little magic to it. Being from Chula Vista myself I've been tons of times.

This weekend I went on my harbor cruise and got some rather lovely photographs.

As soon as i get them uploaded to my computer, I will shink & post.

This will more than likely be by Wednesday simply because tonight I am going to the Fair to see the Pink Floyd Laser Show!!!

Here is the new skyline photo taken from one of the hornblower ships during the dinner cruise at night. It was merged together from 4 different photographs. Enjoy!

Nov 11, 2008, 3:03pm

Another nice one! Also from your cruise?

Nov 11, 2008, 4:24pm

Yes it is. Thank you very much.

Dez 18, 2008, 7:34pm

I like the latest one - a festive skyline!

Dez 18, 2008, 7:37pm

Thank you very much.

I think I made it about 2 years ago as a gift for some of my coworkers. I individualized each of them.

For example, "Happy Holidays from Marketing".

G-r-e-a-t new photograph, bardsfingertips!

Where is it taken from?

Editado: Fev 12, 2009, 10:37pm

From the Carnival Cruise Ship Elation. I went during the last week of Jan.

'Twas great fun!

And thank you for the compliment :)

Fantastic photo! In fact, I've really enjoyed all your photographs of San Diego. Thanks so much.

Fev 23, 2009, 12:02pm

Thank you very much!

I really need to print and sell some of these. But I am ignorant when it comes to such things.

Whoa! Remarkable new photograph of Balboa Park.

I'm wondering if I have your permission to post it on Facebook.

Also, thanks for posting the San Diego book events on LibraryThing. I have a tendency to be drawn to them like a magnet.

Mar 20, 2009, 1:31am

You're welcome.

I do not mind that you post it on your facebook. Just credit Daniel Stafford, if you would be so kind.

Mar 20, 2009, 3:36am

Thanks, Daniel.

Terrific photo, as always. I've always loved that building.

Mar 29, 2009, 2:10pm

WOW! That balboa park picture is awesome! I love the way the sky looks in it.

Mar 30, 2009, 11:35am

Thank you very much, mynenni. I had been posting so many city shots that I had forgotten about my Balboa Park photos.

Love the site... your gallery is awesome!
I just posted a review of a great book In the Footsteps of Paul by Ken Duncan on my blog. Are you familiar with his photos? You both are pros! :D

Abr 10, 2009, 9:52pm

Thank you. No, I do not know him at all. I'll have to look him up.

Thank you, again.
