What did you make of the meeting between Kim and Alex? Should she have gone? Should she have responded when the photograph was mentioned?

Kim handled the meeting with Alex a lot better than the other time she went to see Alex. I was glad when she walked away from getting photo but I knew how hard it was for her to do that.

I struggled to read this section, it annoyed me so much. The woman is hateful. (What a great piece of writing from Marsons, to elicit such reactions from a reader.)
Kim needs to interact with Alex, Alex is not going away, so the situation needs to be tackled. But Kim’ll need all her wits about her, as much mental armour as she can gather around herself. It’s a battle of the minds and wills. Alex knows each and every button to press, and, unfortunately, Kim is only human and listens to each and every barb.
Thankfully, Kim was strong enough to walk away from the baited photograph.
I have faith, that Kim will come out the victor.

I think the worm (ie prison guard Katie) is ready to turn. IMO, Alex has made a mistake with her. She may well be part of Alex’s downfall…

She was more in control this time, although I couldn’t really see the point in Kim going to see her! She did exceptionally well to walk away, especially when the photograph was brought up.

I thought she did a good job. She was a lot more prepared this time. Leaving without the photo surprised Alex.

It was such a pleasure to see the arch manipulator failing for once. Really good scene, well played out .
