In catalogue view, CK for original publication date pulls data from all lanaguage sites

Editado: Nov 30, 2023, 4:27 pm

In catalogue view, CK for original publication date suddenly often has half a dozen or more of the same entries. presumably because it pulls data from all language sites, so if say 2011 was entered or confirmed on 10, there is ten 2011 entries listed.

Not sure whether other CK fields started showing the same behavior. Will add some to catalogue view and check

Edit: Other CK fields still appear as you'd expect - showing only entries from CK of site you're on. I checked Canonical Title and People/Characters.

Where are you seeing this? I poked around about a dozen work pages and didn't see anything, so any examples you have would be great. Thanks!

Okay, I'm seeing this. Not sure if it's a true bug or not but let's see.

1. go to and make sure that the CK OPD field is in the display Style you're viewing. There's two 1958 dates showing up in that field for The Cat in the Hat Comes Back.
2. go to the CK edit history for the work: There's two OPDs entered in English and German - the ones being shown in catalog view.

Is this a bug or no? Should we only be showing the localized CK data in catalog view, or what?

Pretty sure it's a bug since it worked normally before, meaning showing CK for English only since I'm on .com site. I have 10 same or similar entries for Alice in Wonderland, for instance.

Original title too, by the way.
