Tomorrow, Friday 9th December, sees the start of December Group Read of When Maidens Mourn by C S Harris, #7 in the Sebastian St Cyr series for those reading along. I will post the scheduled later today, and set up the group then. I will then send everyone a link.

Popular Mechanics posted an interesting list of the most popular book by year. I'm surprised by how many were "required reading" in my school.

Hanukkah begins tonight at sundown. “Hanukkah Sameach!" in advance to all who celebrate. I had a Jewish friend and that's the only phrase I ever learned in Hebrew. Sometimes I have trouble with English:)

Happy Holidays everyone! It's a bit chilly today (no snow) and decorations are just a wreath and a garland for the mantelpiece.

Question everyone. Do you want to do the alphabet challenge again in 2023? I'll post it if you do, and you won't hurt my feelings if you don't.

How about the possibility of changing it to another theme.
One suggestion, books published each year over the last 50 years? Or some other number of years.

Just a suggestion, some may have other suggestions.

No other suggestions from me Carol, but I’d probably struggle to do another alphabet challenge, (although I could just read the whole of another one of Diane Xarissa’s alphabetical mystery series - she’s done a few - 😂).

>16 Sergeirocks: I saw all those X's and I was impressed. She wrote enough books to fill several alphabet challenges:) Now you have to find a Q and a Z author that wrote that many books.

Happy Yuletide to my LT friends! Started with a Winter Solstice fire at a neighbor's home on Wednesday, Christmas this morning, some baking for neighbors these past few days, and Christmas cards. Puerto Rican Coquitos and Gleuwein accompany dinner this evening.
